LAWRENCE CASSERLEY
Lawrence Casserley is best known for his work in free improvised music, particularly real-time processing of other musicians' sound, and he has devised a special computer processing instrument for this work. He has worked with many of the finest improvisers, particularly Evan Parker, with whom he works frequently as a duo partner, in various larger groupings and in the Evan Parker Electro-Acoustic Ensemble. CDs have been released by ECM, Konnex, Leo Records, Psi, Sargasso and Touch.

Recently relocated from Beirut to Berlin after his DAAD residency here - Mazen Kerbaj is well known as a comic artist, painter and musician. He pioneered improvised music in the Middle East, playing with musicians such as Sharif Sehnaoui , Christine Sehnaoui, Raed Yassine, Charbel Haber, Jad Balaben, Jassem Hindi, Franz Hautzinger , Helge Hinteregger, Lê Quan Ninh, Bertrand Denzler, Stéphane Rives, Edward Perraud, Taku Un and curating IRTIJAL - an annual international festival for free music in Beirut.

HARRI SJÖSTRÖM
Originally from Turku, Finland - Harri Sjöström is a well known improvising musician on the Berlin scene and throughout the world. His incredibly wide ranging musical life has included creative encounters with leading musicians and composers such as Derek Bailey, John Cage, Bill Dixon, Vinko Globokar, George Russell and Cecil Taylor - the latter being an ongoing collaboration since their first Berlin meeting in 1990, they recently played together at the major retrospective for Taylor's work at the Whitney in New York.

LA TOURETTE
La Tourette is as intense and emotional as a duo can be. On the surface some of the songs appear as fluorescent pop music pearls, but once seduced and pulled deeper into the world of La Tourette one finds even more to explore than just great songs: endless layers of influences and collisions with different musical styles and soundworlds - from experimental to african, hip hop to punk, and opera to soundscapes. Tonia Reeh is best known for her solo work as Monotekktoni and as the front singer for rock bands Masonne and Das zuckende Vakuum. In 2014 she started touring with Rudi Fischerlehner - who, as a drummer, is mostly associated with the likes of Olaf Rupp, Gorilla Mask and Fiium Shaarrk - with the idea of recreating some of the percussion effects used on her solo albums in live concerts. Over time the influence of Fischerlehner's sensitive and unorthodox drum and percussion styles melded the sound of the duo into something exciting and fresh - it could no longer be seen as "a solo thing with accompaniment". It was time to face the fact that this project had turned into a band, and the band was given the name "La Tourette".
